Japanese brand Miharayasuhiro collaborates with the manga “Phoenix” by Osamu Tezuka to produce items going on sale in mid-December. The fall/winter collection of the brand is inspired by this manga, one of the reasons behind the team-up, and designer Yasuhiro Mihara incorporates his prayers for a hopeful future into the project.

The phoenix in the manga prays for a wonderful world to come, keeping an eye on human beings who repeat mistakes and errors. The collaborated line-up includes: the phoenix printed long-sleeve & short-sleeve T-shirts (6,300 yen to 14,700 yen), sweats (18,900 yen to 24,150 yen), polo shirts with an emblem of the phoenix (10,500 yen) caps (9,975 yen), slip-on shoes in camouflage pattern (24,150 yen), iPhone cases (7,140 yen), stoles (18,900 yen), denim jeans accentuated with camouflage pattern (28,350 yen) and plastic clutch bags (8,820 yen), totaling to 21 items. Aside from the denim jeans, all items are unisex. Available at directly operated stores, Isetan Shinjuku and select shops.

A pop-up event will open at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building in December. The walls of the space will be decorated with drawings of scenes from the manga, and clouds and spotlights will be hung from the ceiling to recreate the feel of the manga.

Miharayasuhiro collaborated with several brands this season. With Hysteric Glamour it will present wear and shoes in October, with luxury handbag maker Ikeda Kohgei, bags in November and with TUMI, Nishijin weave bags in December.
