FIGO co.,ltd. (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has gained the exclusive sales of the Italian total fashion brand, ASPESI and will begin selling its products in spring-summer of 2014. FIGO currently operates the sales of Felisi, an Italian bags and belts brand.

In explaining this exclusive sales agreement, Naoki Akama, CEO of FIGO stated, “We were searching for a brand that would allow our company to rely on the sales of not only Felisi, but also from the stable sales of 2-3 other brands. Now that we have gained ASPESI, the next step is to acquire 1-2 more brands in the near future. As a subsidiary of UNITED ARROWS LTD., FIGO will work to convey the parent company’s ‘traditional mind’ and value, which is to provide products that will continue to be loved by various generations”.

The March 2013 sales of FIGO were 2.9 billion yen, an increase by 15% compared to the previous term, resulting in an increase in both sales and profit. This growth is due to the stabilization of delivery as well as favorable outcome of wholesale and direct retail sales.

A new company structure has been put in place with Akama taking the post of CEO as of this April.

ASPESI was established in 1969 by Alberto Aspesi as a shirt manufacturer, outside of Milan. The brand currently has directly managed stores in several major Italian cities, Madrid, Spain and other cities while wholesaling to select shops around the world.

The representing product of the brand is “M65”.
