A one-week event named “Pearly Fantasy” will start at Isetan Shinjuku from Jan. 23rd to introduce Tasaki’s new designs to the domestic market.

Thakoon Panichgul, who was appointed as Creative Director of Tasaki in 2009, created the treasure series under the theme “Fantasy”. Panichgul, who has his own line in NY incorporated the message, “To seize and to hold on” into the new Tasaki designs. The new series feature motifs of keys and cages. A pendant with an Akoya pearl encaged (199,500 yen) and a ring with a Mabe pearl enclosed in a cage with diamonds (882,000 yen) and other fantastic items are featured.

Tasaki signed a contract of design and manufacture with London designer Melanie Georgacopoulos in October 2012 and her works will be on display at the event. The “sliced” series, created by cutting a pearl in half expresses the inner mystery hidden in a pearl. A necklace using sliced freshwater pearls (672,000 yen) and pearl earrings in pink, white and black (84,000 yen each) are available. The ring ARLEQUIN (126,000 yen) using a sliced black freshwater pearl combined with a yellow gold one is also in store.

The collaboration line with French jewelry designer Marie-Helene de Taillac, “Tasaki × MHT” features a cord bracelet adorned with Akoya pearls, color stones and charms. The “Moon & Heart Drop Bracelet” (45,150 yen each) and the “Envy Star Bracelet” (24,150 yen each) both using tsavolite and red spinel will be pre-sold at this event.
